Mignon Parsons, MD, FAAP

Dr. Mignon Parsons was born and raised in Marin County and attended elementary school in Corte Madera and high school in San Francisco. She earned her undergraduate degree from Trinity College in Connecticut, where she studied psychology. Following graduation, she worked at UCSF in the department of pediatric rheumatology conducting clinical research and working with patients with juvenile arthritis and lupus. She soon realized she loved working with children and decided to pursue a career as a pediatrician. Dr. Parsons completed her medical training at Drexel University in Philadelphia and was very happy to return to the Bay Area for her internship and residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. She is board certified in Pediatrics.    She is thrilled to join the team at Magnolia Pediatrics and to practice in her home community of Marin. She has a special interest in caring for newborns and providing education and counseling for new parents. During her time at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, she developed a curriculum to teach other training pediatricians on topics such as working with infants with colic, sleep training and introduction of solids. Dr. Parsons also works at the Marin Pediatric After-Hours Clinic.    Dr. Parsons lives with her husband, infant daughter, and dog in Larkspur. She enjoys traveling, but also loves taking advantage of the incredible natural beauty of Marin County. You may find her hiking, running, doing yoga or skiing in her time away from work.
